本次会议中日两国专家作了 4 个主题报告 :1. 张培震研究员：“ Coseismic Deformation and Mechanism of the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake, Sichuan, China ”； 2. 增子宏先生：“ Earthquake Research Promotion following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake ”； 3. 高孟潭研究员：“ Great Earthquake Disaster Mitigation-lessons from the Wenchuan Earthquake ”； 4. 贝原俊民 先生：“ How Countermeasures for Natural Disasters Should Be – Working through the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake ”。

        在为期两天的会议中共设三个专题，共有 57 个口头报告， 19 个张贴报告，分别从地震及活断层、泥沙灾害及建筑物损害、灾后重建和社会恢复三个方面进行了广泛的学术交流，旨在为汶川地震的灾后重建工作提供参考，并寻求减轻特大地震灾害的对策，提高两国及亚洲地区的防震减灾能力。中日双方 89 位专家学者参加了此次会议，在继续深入开展学术交流合作上达成了共识。
