The China-Japan Arts and Education Symposium cosponsored by Tokyo University of the Arts and Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University was held on December 22 (Tuesday) at the lecture hall of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Nearly 200 related persons were present.

Three Chinese universities attended the symposium, i.e., Academy of Arts & Design under Tsinghua University, China Central Academy of Fine Arts and Central Conservatory of Music; and 5 Japanese universities sent their representatives, including Tokyo University of the Arts, Kanazawa College of Art, Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts and Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts. In 2007, China , Japan and South Korea published a joint declaration aimed at promoting exchange activities on arts, and since then, the three countries have been engaged in exchange activities on Eastern Asian arts similar to this symposium. It is expected that in the future there will be more such activities on a more in-depth basis.
