Kihei Kai (Japanese Higher Education Network Association in China) is a collaborative organization mainly consisting of Japanese universities, governmental agencies and research institutes which establish offices, liaison offices and alumni associations in China. By December 2008, 30 universities and related institutions have become the members of the organization. Kihei Kai is named after the meaning of “desiring peace”, the basic idea of international exchange abided by its members. Now, Kihei Kai holds a meeting for its members in Beijing every two months or so. In addition to information exchange between members, it also invites lecturers to make a speech. Since Dec. 2006, Kihei Kai has also been available for the institutions which set up liaison offices outside Beijing. |
